Dublin are Youth Inter Counties champions 

Dublin have been crowned the 2026 INDO Youth Inter Counties champions after defeating Carlow 3-2 in a nail biting final that went right to the wire. 
After recovering from 2-0 down in their semi-final with Meath, Dublin pulled off the same feat in the final to lift the trophy. 
With Carlow, who defeated Kilkenny 2 in their semi-final, looking to win the championships for the fourth year running, Dublin found themselves behind early on in the final thanks to wins for Luke Dooley and Jack Courtney for the defending champions. 
Dublin soon rallied, however, and wins for Ollie McArdle and Luke Divilly ensured the game would go right down the wire. 
It was Dublin's Brodie Moran who then proved to be the hero as he won the finsl game to hand Dublin the title. 
Elsewhere, Kilkenny 2 capped off a brilliant weekend for them by claiming the Shield with victory over Roscommon the final. 

All roads lead to the Shearwater hotel in Ballinasloe this weekend as the indo host its youth inter-counties,

a whoppin 67 teams compete over two days to crown the 2026 youth inter-county Champions.

A Inter-Counties

3 in Row 

Donegal Men made it 3 in a row on sunday evening when they beat Ofally men 7-4.

Donegal started the weekend in mens group 1 with 4 wins from 4 against Kildare,Monaghan,Clare and Tipperary which seen them comfortably into the last 16 on sunday. 

last 16 seen them beat West Meath 7-3 after losing the first 3 sets, a quarter final showdown and a repeat of last years finals against cork didnt dissapoint and with donegal 6-4 down in a race to seven meant the pressure was on but 3 sets on the bounce booked there place in the semi finals and a clash with Carlow who went through two terrific last leg deciders against Dublin and Mayo.

Donegal proved too strong on this occasion and they seen off Carlow 7-2 to secure their place in their 5th final in a row. 

Offaly was the challenge and after a few nip and tuck legs and sets which could have gone either way dongal raced into a 4-1 lead, Offaly were able to win 3 more sets but donal showed their class with alan byrne coming for 2 legs down to win 3-2 and secure donegals 3rd Inter-counties Title in a Row. 

Dublin Ladies Too Strong 

Dublin Ladies won their second inter-Counties title in a row when they beat Kilkenny ladies 4-1 in the Final.

Dublin started off their campaign on saturday in group stage 1 with 4 wins form 4 in a tough group. 

Dublin showed class in the quarters and semi finals not dropping a single set to book a showdown with Kilkenny ladies.

kilkenny took the first set and were lookijng to pull of the shock but dublin ladies rallied and won the next 4 sets in a row to claim their second title in a row.

INDO Inter-County Singles 

Inter-Counties Mens Singles 

Dylan Slevin Pcked up the 2026 Mens inter-counties singles title on friday night, Coming through afield of 332 players. not an easy run to the final where Dylan had to see off top players in killian heffernan, Jordan Boyce and Dylan Quinn before booking his spot in the final and a showdown with Ray Mulvey who came through his onw tough challenges in Gerrard McGlynn,Killian McCormack and Dmitriy Zhukov.

The final was nip and tuck and both playewrs taking 4 legs each in a race to sic but Dylan showed realclass reeling off an 18 & 15 dart legs to claim the 2026 inter-counties mens title.

Inter-Counties Ladies singles 

Robyn Byrne won the 2026 ladies Inter-counties singles on friday. robyn played superb darts as she navigated her way through the record breaking 100 ladies. faceing tough competition in the later stages against Caroline Breen and Sara Joyce to book her place against world masters winner Rebecca Allen. 

Robyn got of to the perfect start with a sublime 140 Chckout to win the first leg and after some great darts finished off with a 118 Checkout to win the 2026 ladies singles title.

All Roads Lead to Killarney & the A Inter-Counties

we are just under one week away form the Biggest event in irish darts as 25 mens and 17 womens teams descend on the INEC Gleneagles to compete in the Inter-counties championship for 2026.

all eyes will be on defending champions Donegal who look to win three in a row. dublin ladies look to add to their another title.

Another county to look out for would be last years finalists Cork who recently won the Munster championship.

Carlow Men and Women who recently completed the double winning the leinsters in january will be confident also. 

Dublin inter=county champions in 2023 will be eying up another title having been runners up recently at the Leinsters.

IRELAND'S teenage darts sensation Rebecca Allen has won her first senior women's WDF title after claiming the Scottish Open in Glasgow on Sunday night.

The 16-year-old was in sparkling form as she dethroned the reigning champion, Lorraine Hyde, with a 5-2 victory in the final.

The win was all the sweeter for the Carlow teen, after she had earlier been defeated in the final of the Girls Scottish Open by England's Macy Gibbons.

Her run to the final in the women's Scottish Open saw Rebecca take out some notable scalps along the away, including her old adversary Paige Pauling in the last 16 and a nail-biting 4-3 win over Sophie McKinlay in the semi-final.

Despite losing the opening leg of the final to the experienced Lorraine Hyde, Allen then rattled off four legs on the spin to open up an impressive 4-1 lead.

She then held her nerve to see out the big win by pinning double tops at the first time of asking in the seventh leg.

It capped off a brilliant weekend for Allen after she also won the Women's doubles with her partner Lynsey Ward on Friday night.

It was almost a double for Ireland on Sunday as Dylan Slevin also fought his way through to the final of the men's Scottish Open.

Competing in his first WDF ranking event since dropping off the PDC tour, Slevin showed his class by winning eight games on the spin to make it into the decider against England's James Beeton.

Slevin's run to the final included a last 16 victory over rising Northern Ireland star Christian Ennis and then a win over Republic of Ireland international Paddy Quinn in the quarter finals.

However he came up just short in the final as Beeton came from 3-2 down to win his second WDF ranking event with a 5-3 win.

 

New Chairman Elected @ AGM

Corks Kevin McDonnell was elected Chairman of the Irish national darts Organisation rt their AGM on Sunday 14th December. Kevin takes over from Noel Redmond who stepped down after 10 years with the Indo. 

Devaney heads into 9th year 

Galways Kevin Devaney was re-elected as INDO Secretary and will head into his 9th year as secretary, Kevin looks to build on the continued success of Irish darts as they look top host a number of  significant tournaments including the WDF Youths Europe Cup in June 


Redmond Signs off in Style

Wexford's Noel Redmond Signed off his tenure with Irish darts this past weekend with another successful Killarney darts festival. Noel who is to step down as INDO Chairman and step away from the Committee after 10 years was presented with an award for his contributions to Irish darts by general secretary Kevin Devaney & Youths Officer Paddy Cullen 

Allen wins the Girls World Masters

Rebecca Allen is a WDF World Masters champion! Rebecca claimed her second title in two days here in Budapest with a 5-3 win over Ruby Grey in the final. It comes after she won the World Open yesterday. Well done Becca!
